REQ: SampleScience Drone Piano
I thought that the SampleScience uploads on here recently were quite good so I've been looking into their other freebies. I came across a preview on Archive.org of something called the Drone Piano, it seemed like it would be a freebie, but it's actually kind of pricey. I'd like to mess around with it more, does anyone have it to upload?
It's really unique if you haven't listened to a preview. They time stretched some of the piano notes to make drones to go with the normal piano.
It really reminds me to look into how to actually modify samples properly at some point. The concept is so easy, but, based on the preview, it actually works very well. It's just a piano sound looped in the right way to make a drone, but it's quite nice . . . .
INFO:
Drone Piano is a VST/VST3/AU plugin instrument featuring the sound of an upright acoustic piano recorded at the University of Montreal during the winter of 2015. The instrument has 3 different variations of the same piano sound, the first one being the seamless drone loops made of the tail end of the piano samples. The second one is the looped piano, which has its decay sound seamlessly looped for subtle sustained sounds. The last one is the original piano sound, unaltered with its natural decay.
