Loopmasters present The Sound of Avotre by house aficionado Santé! Showcasing only the finest elements of Santé’s refined sound palette, the sample pack follows on from his ‘Currrent II’ LP, released earlier this year via his own, titular Avotre label.
Hailing from Berlin, Santé is part of a new school of artists championing musicality, skilfulness and creativity over mindless loops and endless repetition. His productions, like those chartered via AVOTRE, ooze character, charisma & humour; emotive attributes so often overlooked in the realms of house music.
After contributing efforts on many of Tiefschwarz’s releases and delivering remixes for Richie Hawtin and Grace Jones, Santé decided to fly the nest in search of new pastures. His subsequent release schedule spells out unwavering versatility and range of scope – from bastions of techno like Cocoon, to the kings of big room house Defected, through to underground darlings Desolat and Supernature. Few producers can claim association with such a breadth of imprints at any one time.
The Sound of Avotre sees Santé strip down his creative process to its bare components and contains the staple elements used to produce some of his most essential hits. Combinations of kick, snare and percussion loops can be used interchangeably to make raw, custom grooves, whilst layers of synth and bass loops can be stacked upon each other for a thick, textured quality.
One-shots within the pack include deep kicks, vintage claps, epic FX sweeps, vinyl soundbeds, analogue percussion, phat bass and much more, each mapping to a corresponding sampler patch (for Kontakt, EXS24, NNXT, Halion or SFZ) for maximum usability.
