REQ: Marcel Blum Soundplant
Hi, I think this is an interesting than simple tool, it turns the computer into a simple sampler using the computer keyboard to trigger the sounds chosen for each key of the keyboard, with ASIO and multichannel devices support.
Available free release but only the paid version has asio support and other fundamental functions:

- customizable sound triggering, allowing for looping, overlapping, restarting, muting, pausing, and fading, controlled by secondary key press or by key release
- displays full playback progress info for up to 12 tracks at once
- onscreen keyboard keys plays are highlighted
- pitch adjust allows microtuning to the 100th of a semitone
- trim sounds to start and end offset points with precision to the 100,000th of a second
- works identically on Windows or Mac
- saves and loads keyboard configurations as .keymap files fully cross-platform
- includes several options for minimizing CPU and RAM usage for performance tuning so that it can run well even on older computers
