Yeah that sounds about right. I am also thinking maybe after the big wave, they now have to deal with new iLok protection. In that case I hope it won't take too many years lol

The interesting part of the group EQ is that it uses UDP to group. This means if you use your DAW offline exclusively as many do, you may not be able to use group mode. It's on their website.

oh that's lame, so in order to use all of its features, you need to be online? i suppose that one way of preventing or delaying a crack, but it's also a good way of preventing me to purchase it

The website (feel free to look for yourself) indicates that in order to use it fully, it needs UDP not just to authenticate, but for the grouping to work properly.
I really do not mind that much other than I turn all network off during processing so there is no interference either in potential latency or me getting distracted.
So it's a bit of a deterrent purchasing it.

While not a lot has been said about it, Sound Radix Pi does frequency phase alignment in masses of groupings, not only six and does it quite effectively. It allows frequencies to avoid cancelling each other out. As for the mechanics and theory as to how, I have no idea but it works and as I said, it is not limited to six.
