Loopmasters are proud to present Drum & Bass Dissonance, the second sample pack instalment from D&B legend Rockwell! All the latest key elements of Rockwell’s sound can be found within, 100% royalty free and waiting for use in your music.

Thomas Green – aka Rockwell - has without question been one of the most exhilarating talents to come out of the drum and bass scene in recent times. Heralded by the likes of Billboard, Fact Magazine, Resident Advisor, Mixmag and DJ Mag, and with releases on some of the biggest and most critically revered labels in the game - Metalheadz, Critical, Neosignal, Shogun Audio, Darkestral and many more.

Since starting his label project ‘Obsolete Medium’ in 2018, he has released collaborative pieces with The Upbeats, Phace, Workforce and hotly tipped newcomer Lakeway, resulting in support from scene leaders such as Goldie and Alix Perez. Further seminal highlights from his discography - ‘Underpass’, ‘Aria’, ‘Detroit’, ‘Full Circle’, ‘Childhood Memories' and the ‘USER’ EP have highlighted Rockwell as one of the most original producers in drum & bass, creating productions with painstaking detail, beautiful arrangements and seemingly effortless ingenuity.

With his music regularly demolishing club dance floors or radio waves alike - his classic ‘Detroit’ famously blew up Zane Lowe’s subwoofer live on BBC Radio 1 - the Rockwell sound has been supported across the board from drum and bass luminaries Andy C and Friction, to broadcast heavyweights Zane Lowe, Mistajam and Huw Stephens. Also a prolific remixer, artists such as London Grammar, Dj Shadow, Boys Noize & Hudson Mohawke and Riton have submitted their tracks for a trademark Rockwell rework.

About the pack, Rockwell has said:

“It is a pleasure to compile my second sample pack for Loopmasters. My creative process involves a lot of resampling and rendering to audio, and I have a specific folder on my studio computer where the myriad of sounds I create get saved. It was exciting and interesting on a personal level to go back through this folder and sift through the samples - provoking memories of tracks that were frustrating to finish and that took an age to get over the line, tracks that were finished in a few sessions, and how my approach to making and creating music has changed over the last few years.

As with my last pack, it will be interesting to see where these samples end up - I have heard my samples in other producers’ demos on Soundcloud, and also included in releases on some of the biggest labels in drum and bass!”

This pack contains well over 550 MB of content to get your creative juices flowing - warm and saturated 808s, distorted and granular chorals, looped chords and frantic drum loops. There are samples here from some of Rockwell’s favourite creations, with big emphasis on experimentation, bass weight and breakneck rhythms. At tempos between 160-176bpm, you’ll find something within for all your drum & bass, jungle and footwork tunes within.

In detail, expect to find 591 MB of content with all audio recorded at 24Bit 44.1KHZ.
