You need the FULL version of Kontakt to use this collection. The library comes with over 10 combinations of the original instrument settings. Other products that require you to layer the individual PRESET samples to create the combinations DO NOT sound as authentic (has to do with the phasing of the individual samples). Some magic happens inside the RMI when combining the STOPS that can not be recreated without sampling the stop combinations individually. As a result, there is almost 1 GB of sample data in sampling all of these combinations in high quality 24 bit 44.1 HZ quality.

You will get nothing fancy from Progressive Sound (No fancy GUIs, No Processing or FX) only pure high quality samples that you can sculpt into whatever you need for your projects that sit wonderfully in your mix. Of course, none of the KONTAKT parameters are protected and you can play and add your own touches to the Kontakt programs (add effects, change the ADSR, create custom COMBIs for LIVE performance, etc.).

Listen to the Audio examples of the RMI Collection. These DEMOS will let you hear how these instruments sound DRY, processed and in a context of a mix. I can't really do GENESIS justice but this way you can hear something a bit familiar and judge the quality of this product for yourself. Check the listing under the DEMOS for a listing of each of the sample programs in the collection. These are the most musical and useful combinations for the RMI. As a registered owner of the RMI, you will be entitled to any future RMI samples added to the collection free of charge.

Current users RAVE about this sample set in being SPOT ON to a real RMI except they don't have to lug around an 80 lb instrument in order to use it. KONTAKT runs in RECEPTOR or on a LAPTOP and as such, these sample programs are useable in a LIVE situation as well.
