No, it wasn't. The guy that crakced PT verstion said that he won't crack VST version bcz PT version has only 4 layers of protections, while VST has 5.

Haha, honestly what I'd do is actually demo anything you guys actually think of wanting and trying it out for yourselves. They offer it for 14 days and you can see if it's actually worth buying or waiting for. There's a sizable amount of new plugins since the last time, but a lot of it is still really old. See for yourself if there's anything you actually like instead of waiting here haha.

Why is it so? R2R did that about 5 ago, vr did that for pro tools, vr/r2r crkd some other PA stuff. Audioutopia has kracked a lot of unkrackable stuff. Why vst is not real? Is aax is simpler?
If we are talking about either they release them or not, either they want to do that or not - it is another question. So, vr released a lot of stuff which wasnt released r2r, incl some PA stuff, aax version of PA brainworx (co)development - why you are so pessimistic about vst version?

Yes apparently AAX is easier to work around than VST which is why VR didn't release the VST version, because the work around only works for AAX, I don't know the finer details of why AAX is easier though, I'm not a genius cracker, just a genius crackpot.

For me the big downside of being locked into Pro Tools is that it does not have a batch converter function. Reaper is the only DAW I'm aware of that has such a function. (There are wav editors that have it, like Izotope RX, but they all need VST.)
