HotPhuzz uses a multiband distortion process to create vintage, modern, and unique saturation effects. Although HotPhuzz can be pushed into over distortion, it excels at creating more moderate saturation sounds. You can call the sounds whatever terms you like, but it still sounds good.

What a cool old dirty drum machine!’– Me about the Yamaha DD-10 when I first saw it some years ago.

This is really a charming lo-fi low cost 8-bit drum machine released in 1988 aimed at the home market and I really love it. I’m writing in first person because I wanted to get really personal about this one. This is one of my all time favorites and it’s the sample pack I use the most when it comes to drum machines.

Many of us love the old portastudio cassette recorder sound because many of us started this gig on cheap tape. The pres are simple and yet have a smooth rolling off that makes for a nice smooth rendition. This pre surprised me at how useful it is. Giving a lovely glow it can be used to give more body and definition. Very nice , classy sound for a cheap preamp.

This is an exquisite sampling of the tone of one of the Focus compressors that not only looks great but sounds the business. Great for getting depth. Use with your favourite compressor or just use the presets as is to tighten things up either on a track or Master bus. For Mastering add it after your compressor.
