The initial idea for Blade was born out of the want to have more ā€˜human inputā€™ into the sound. The classic synthesizer parts for modulation are LFOs and Envelopes. The ā€˜human inputā€™ is the keyboard we play and controllers like pitch bend or modulation wheel. A XY pad is perfect for the human input, but it controls only the filter and volume... We found this to be too limited. We wanted also to control the ā€˜harmonicsā€™ of the oscillator...changing the waveform using the XY pad.

Why another delay effect in 2016 ? Well, Iā€™ve got the idea behind Spaceship Delay for a long time. When the KorgĀ® Monotron Delay has been released on the market, I wish I had a plug-in version of that beast as an audio effect, that I could use for making electric guitar sounds scream like hell.

So I developed a simple model of the famous KorgĀ® MS-20 filter, I put it inside a delay line, pushed a little the feedback, andā€¦ It sounded already so good ! So I thought I should do a product with that concept at some point, and here it is !
