Antique Metal Percussion (AMP) is a very unique kontakt sample library which is derived from banging (lightly) on a handful of metal antique items. Some of the items heard in this sample library are “one of a kind” and include an old iron bedrail, a library book cart, an old seaside lantern from the North East, a “Childs” brand copper fire extinguisher from the turn of the century (which sounds really cool), a WWII .50 Caliber Metal Ammunition Box, and even a decommissioned WWII Mk27 Hand Grenade. A few of these are pictured below for your viewing pleasure.

MR Gate is a full featured expander/gate that can be used to gate noise during
quiet sections. It’s a very comprehensive gate implementation with adjustable l
ookahead, variable ratio, attack and decay times, etc. In addition, it has a scrolling
time display that shows the level of the input signal and the gate attenuation, very
handy for setting up the parameters. Also, it has a monitor feature that lets you
hear the gated signal which is kind of cool for listening to the background
without the foreground.

Well this one has been a long time coming. I went out and did some extensive on location recordings. I altered drum kits, Bolted on sheets of metal to tom toms, ran them through crazy analog effects, and generally beat the living hell out of everything that I could find to make the best sounding hard hitting drums around.
