The library is based on 22 tenor saxophone samples with tempo and key information. Each phrase is usually between 1 and 2 bars long. All phrases are played on the same harmony pattern and can be easily combined with other instruments, playing in the same key. This makes it easy to create a complete song arrangement. The phrases are based in the jazz genre, but they also work great in other genres like pop, chill or blues.

We recorded this kit to capture a certain sound, the sound of the late 60s and early 70s that came out of the Royal Studios in Memphis. Home to legendary producer and founder of Hi Records, Willie Mitchell. This studio was responsible for recording hit after hit from famous Soul Artists such as Al Green and Ann Peebles. We have studied and recreated the drum sound.

The sounds in the soundset are filled with eerie, haunting and mysterious sounds. All the sounds have modulation via the modwheel and aftertouch and in a lot of cases the pitchwheel adds some ambience and the CC2 some movement. The inspiration comes from shows like Westworld, Stranger Things, The Dark and in music from Trent Reznor, Charlie Clouser and Mica Levi.

In the presets there is an extensive use of the modwheel, aftertouch, pitchweel and CC2 to enhance the sounds. Often sounds start as a fairly basic sound, but with the use of various controllers you can add a lot of depth to your sound so that it can match your productions.
