It's time to make the change. For the next revolution!

TEAM R2R was setup in 2012. It has already been more than 10 years. There
have been many changes since the beginning. CPU architecture, DRM, Windows
Defender, Compression, Plugin Formats, etc...

After the long discussion in the group, we decided to concentrate on
rebuilding our resources for the future. We need to update essential codes,
installer script, and other internal environment.

During the updating, we will stop releasing the most of our magic which
depends on previous codebase. The update will take many months, because there
are really many things to refresh.

[Patience is a virtue]

Here is the first updates : New NFO and RAR5 compression. We can finally say
good bye to WinRAR6 which was the last version supporting old compression!

Still bored? How about having fun by testing Serum2 releases by other groups?
They are trying to crack without solving [famous encoding], [famous crypto],
[famous hashing]. Not only the Steve's timebomb, you need to fight with the
bugs which cracker added. Let's hope someone will make some real effort to
reverse their licensing system ;)

Thank you R2R for everything you've done so far for the audio scene. We're all so glad you guys only take a break instead of sailing into the sunset - it would be well deserved after 15.000 releases. LEGEND STATUS achieved.

Allow me to leave my story here. I come from a very modest (if not poor) familly. Yet, I have always been fascinated by music and its production. I've fought to have piano lesson and worked long hours to afford a "performant enough" computer.

R2R was among the first c*ed version of professionnal tools I was lucky enough to put my hands on. Accessing these tools without having to buy them allowed me to grow into the artist I am today.

Today, I'm producing electronic music on a daily basis, I have released music on several label and I'm playing in front of my friend as well as very big crowd.

Today, I'm buying most of my licences to support the companies, I'm buying (and sharing) my tutorials to support the instructors, I'm buying (and sharing) my sample packs to support the artists and, I'm buying the music I'm playing in my gigs to support the producers and label.

Today, I'm still using R2R versions even though I posess a license simply because the c*ed version is more stable and works better that the official one.

Far from living from it, I'm expressing my art (and heart), my emitions and I'm earning money for it. Money that I'm re-investing in the eco-system. None of that would have been possible without you guys, without R2R, AudioZ, AudioSe* and all the passionate members I've been discussing with.

So, once again, from the bottom of my heart, R2R, thanks for your precious work.

okay, this may sound kinda silly.... I was re-reading their nfo and out of nowhere I remembered something from many years ago where one of the earlier group versions of R2R said they were calling it quits, and then just a few days later returned under what was then the new name "R2R". I wish I could remember all the details, but its years ago that happened. Maybe some other people here who've been around this stuff for a long while will remember better than I can at this point. Anyway, when looking at this nfo again, I got this vibe where I was wondering if they're going to do that again and shortly return under a new name? There's something about this nfo that's just giving me that vibe.

Thanks for pointing to it, my memory ain't the same since 3 rounds of Covid
Thing is, I didn't say it was the *exact* same as that old one, just that it gave me the same "vibe". I'm still thinking it's a possibility based on the wording of their nfo. We'll see, will be a good laugh if it turns out that way, but maybe it's just that I'm hoping there won't be a long absence of R2R. Anyway, thanks again!

I know little about technical things, but It seems they need quite a bit of time to upgrade themselves. I like all teams in this scene, but I think R2R is one of the best, and I’m really excited to see how much they’ll improve more and what they can do after their return. Best of luck to R2R!
