It's time to make the change. For the next revolution!

TEAM R2R was setup in 2012. It has already been more than 10 years. There
have been many changes since the beginning. CPU architecture, DRM, Windows
Defender, Compression, Plugin Formats, etc...

After the long discussion in the group, we decided to concentrate on
rebuilding our resources for the future. We need to update essential codes,
installer script, and other internal environment.

During the updating, we will stop releasing the most of our magic which
depends on previous codebase. The update will take many months, because there
are really many things to refresh.

[Patience is a virtue]

Here is the first updates : New NFO and RAR5 compression. We can finally say
good bye to WinRAR6 which was the last version supporting old compression!

Still bored? How about having fun by testing Serum2 releases by other groups?
They are trying to crack without solving [famous encoding], [famous crypto],
[famous hashing]. Not only the Steve's timebomb, you need to fight with the
bugs which cracker added. Let's hope someone will make some real effort to
reverse their licensing system ;)

Glazing r2r won't take you anywhere, and shutting others' opinions (which they are rightfully entitled to) won't either. I'm quite positive that you, as a senior member of this community, should know and do better.

I don't think R2R are exactly "talking down" nor "taking down" the other groups' efforts on Serum 2, they simply tell the truth!

The protection of this synth is very, very complex, and from the witches' POV, the cracking / patching solutions available are not complete, in other terms: the thing is not really, fully cracked...yet.

But if I was a member of other teams, I would take this remark positively (as an encouragement) and try to work harder to overcome the multi-level protection of the software.

I'm sure that you remember that, when they was (very) young, R2R's members first reversing group was "peace-out".

They were at the times quite severely criticized by team AiR (or was it H2O ?) that treated them as "a bunch of wanabees".

OK, did the young "peace-out" members take this critic badly, personally? No, because it came from a very powerful and wise group which knew exactly what they are talking about, they taken it as an invitation to work harder and better.

Thanks to the mighty QUADRA, they managed to greatly improve their skills and the quality of their releases, and the result of this hard work had a name which became famous forever among the scene: ASSiGN.

So you see, there is different attitudes, different choices you can make when you receive a negative (not mean!) critic from a very skilled, very powerful, very longtime existing reversing group.

Witches could very well have ignored completely the work of the other groups on Serum 2, but instead, they have taken the time to examine (test?) these works and tell their advice on them. As I said, I would personally take this as a big encouragement to do better and go farther.

im sure it will be. ive actually been deep diving on the subject with chatgpt, pretending i am a dev, and instructing it to act as a malicious cracker so i can see what attempts somebody would use to crack my software. i havent gotten anywhere, but have learned a few things, and the coding version of chatgpt will get better with time, and there's plenty others out there other than chatgpt that may be better.

Man, I just want to say, R2R have brought countless moments of pure joy to me through their work and the ways they've enabled me to make the craziest sounds of my imagination. I will almost certainly never know who or where they are, but I truly mean it from the bottom of my heart, thank you guys. I'm beyond excited for seeing what the future holds, and if some day you guys slow the revolution down for good, I will always be grateful for the time we all got to enjoy it. Truly one of the most legendary groups of all time.

Ladies and Gentlemen you currently have enough supplied to you by R2R to last a lifetime. GET TO WORK! Make music and be creative. Go through your plug lib. If you don't use something, remove it. If you use something and love it...support the developer. Get better at your craft (plugins will help support your creativity but will NOT magically make you better).

It's exciting to know that R2R is behind the scene working. When they return they will blow the lid off of the industry as they have always done. So get ready and do the work to be the best producer/engineer that you can be. This way you can do justice to all of the work that R2R does for the community.
