Can I seriously critic this or is this going to get me banned? Besides the international-internet-strangers collaborations which is an incredible feat on its own I really find the whole concept lacking. There is actually no concept, no direction, this seems more like a compilation of songs rather than a whole coherent history.

It seems they blindly focused on making some kind of epic space rock opera but because of that it sadly fails to deliver exactly that. The prologue starts with a female talking some boring nonsense lyrics: "It glowed with a soft extraterrestrial light", what the fuck does that even mean?? Also the concept of just capturing an alien and keeping it an a jar is just nonsense to me, one would thought that an encounter with an extraterrestrial being has to be one of the most epics moments in the life of a human but the songs don't reflect that.

We then jump into Firefly, a kind of slow "emotional" pop ballad about a... firefly?

If you want to understand the story of this MUSICAL ALBUM you MUST read the website, otherwise if you try to make sense only listening you will never get a proper exposition, conflict, climax and a resolution. A story that starts with a captured alien and somehow evolves into some twins...

I'm not criticizing the composition, but it feels like the songs jump wildly from one genre to another. I don't even think I can talk about the mixing and mastering.

Overall this seems like an interesting failed attempt at trying to make a worldwide collaborative project and I believe these results will help someone in the future that aims to make something serious.

You may be taking this a bit too seriously. I don't know this for sure. Just a feeling, really.

While your comment is about the material being shared and it's use, there is no problem.

Critical opinions are welcome , specially if well explained.

A song compilation can be a concept in itself.
Having never encountered an extraterrestrial being, I hope if it happens one day that it will be one of the most epic moments in the good sense of the word!
For my part, I haven't listened to this album yet but I appreciate the initiative and, frankly, I don't care about the attempted or supposed story.
When it comes to music, it's the emotion of what I hear that gets me high that counts... but I have nothing against stories...
