Multimediaz is cool but to call it the "First Professional Video Software Blog" is simply a FALSE statement. I'm not even gonna blast the names of the sites that have established these video blogs like Multimediaz long time ago. (One of) the kings in that territory starts with CG, nuff said!!

The only way I will join is if they have fake polls. You know, when they pretend to care about your opinion and then totally ignore 90% of the votes. I absolutely LOVE that!!!

LOL @ Care Bear!

Or how about idiots who can't figure out what the "Say Thanks" button does and have to end every comment by saying "AudioThanXXX!!!!!"

Oh yeah, and do they have fake one-person teams like KRock who try to take credit for other people's releases?

i just like this site (ok, im some 3D fixed) but multimediaz is pretty cool and have the most multimedia (not only video) appz, templates etc. in all shapes. there is always something for each user who work in that genre that is similar and close creative like making music. simple & uncomplicated: enough reasons 4 me to spread the word \ try the best to push the site even more in the front (begins with bookmarking in my "delicious" & "mister wong" account, who reach fast many users that search for "something")

i actually did some research, and i did it couple of times for about one year before launching MMZ, and couldn't locate any resource devoted strictly to the subject of Video;
and we're obviously not talking about freewares sad

unfortunately "CG" doesn't say much, nor shows anything on google.

@SAiNT:....A.COM; ...ws, .....net, ....com, they all have been there a while ago and have content that's 10x the amount of Multimediaz.

I support both Audioz and Multimediaz as I can benefit from both sites content. My only gripe was the fact its state that it is the first. Obviously not a big deal to write that it is, I just wanted to point out the fact that there are other sites ahead of Multimediaz in content. Well, hopefully Multimediaz grow and becomes first one day wink

CGpersia is definitely very interesting and i didn't know about it;
however, if i understand correctly, they work mostly on torrents, while their download links on the site are unusable sad

Nope, they work with Direct links just like Audioz, including Torrents. If you click on any "read more" on a post, it'll show what host the file is on, just like here.

Their link retention is bad because their site is so much more visited, it's like the pirate bay of the CG world. I'm impressed that links don't go offline the same day, like they used to do here a few months earlier

CGPersia is a general website, they allow stuff that relates directly to CG like vfx, photoshop, but they'll never let stuff that's specialized to other domains; they deleted a tutorial that showed lighting techniques for photographers. Even though it may be useful for 3D animators who make their own textures, it was too out-of-topic according to moderators.

What I'm saying is, CGPersia's got limits as to what you can post, that other sites mentioned by dadarkman may not have, but even those other websites aren't specialized in some topics, and that's where MultiMediaZ can stand out, it can become its own niche, specialize in stuff that other websites overlook or dismiss, like the VJ world, the photography world, the 2D raster and vector drawing world, the Flash animation world, etc.
SAiNT, I can share a few ideas with you if you don't mind, by PM

CGPersia's got limits as to what you can post,

Every single sites have a limit of what a contributor can post, Multimediaz already has or will have his. Anyway, I'm not gonna start let's bash this site or that site because it's so easy to find something to complain about. Nothing out there is perfect, there's always gonna be something you want, you need and a site don't allow it; it happens with hundreds of sites.
Hopefully Multimediaz stand the time and grow like Audioz and that's it.

I still prefer torrents, and by a long margin.

How many time we see old releases, without OLD tag, posted again and again because links are down ?
Dead releases, never alive again ?
How many big releases with a single missing part, making it unusable ?

CGPersia seems to chain some releases...from GFXDomain tracker.
CGPeers was good, but down.
There still GFXNews too.

Good luck with this new blog, it is going to be nice !
