...terabytes of software around...libraries are getting bigger...harddisks getting fuller...i´m getting confused.

So...if you had to choose...your favorites to take to desert island: what would you pick?

(favorite reverb, compressor, drum library etc.)
Let´s limit it to ...let´s say...3 DVDs of material.
What is a must? All-time classic?

hmmm on the premise that these are 3 8GB dual layer DVDs lol!! :-) I would take Cubase 5 (ahh that feels so good) Symphobia, Reason 4 with Reason pianos and the standard refills and EZ drummer with the Funk Kit. Breverb is a must and Korg Legacy series. yep that's it.

Truly I would miss my Kontakt 4 and all the goodies that accompany but a man's got to do what a man's got to do

My desert island picks... for DAW's, LOGIC (take your pick...), for authentic pianos... ACOUSTICA Pianisimo (hands down... nothing else even come close, and I have them ALL!!), for huge synths... ReFX Nexus (with as many expansions as you can lay your hands on!!), for drums (remember this is simple and small...) TOONTRACK EZDrummer (again with lots of EZX's), EDIROL Orchestral (it's small and for basic orchestrations can't be beat!!), for pads and misc. lushness SPECTRASONICS Atmosphere (obviously Omnisphere is preferred but eliminated here by it's sheer massiveness...), sample player... NI Kontakt (or if you want something small that will do it all... SAMPLELORD!!), for emulators (things that sound like specific instruments from the past...) ALL the ARTURIA plugs (or NI if you have a brand preference...), and for guitar work... IK MULTIMEDIA's Amplitube (with all expansions and run from X-Gear...). I also have a soft spot for ANY IK MULTIMEDIA products (as they all work & sound great and are generally bug-free...) and for effects... one name only... NOMAD FACTORY!!

Ableton Live 8.
Audition 2.0 (still have my original Cool Edit T-shirt lol)
Reaktor
Waves Bundle
Sonnox! (The lot!)
IZotope RX (To do the washing)
T-RackS
Altiverb 6 and as many decent impulses as I can squeeze on there.
I don't think that's too greedy...

If there's room left I'd have anything I can get from AAS...especailly Lounge Lizard

I'd also rather hope for a container ship's worth of samples that's been captured by Somali pirates armed with glitch filters and buried on my Desert Island... let's say anything from Big Fish to start with. After that I will bang coconuts with driftwood.....maybe a few conch shell solos....that kind'a vibe ;-)

-Ableton Live ( 7 or 8 , whatever) , Cubase 4 , Reason 4 (could just have the default refills) ,
-Ezdrummer (even just the basic default pack) , Silverspike Tape it , AP Tuner
-Nomad plugs (yup ,ALL) , Kjaerhus Golden (Audio Channel & Comp Expander) , some (all that I could) older Voxengo plugs >difficult to get use to the new interface< , some Cry Sonics , Wizoo Verb, PSP 42 & 84 ,SoundFonts GS-201 and Augustus Loop , Fxpansion Mysteron , Prosonic Pi Warp
-Fxpansion Guru (a gret toy to mangle) , 112 dB Morgana , Edirol Orchestral , Lin Plug Sax Lab 1 (more expressive than the 2 , untamed on the highs )
-Native Instruments B4 2 , Arturia ARP 2600 & Moog Modular ,AAS Lounge Lizard & String Studio, Korg Legacy , Bonemark Broomstick Bass (great options for VSTi bass) , Musiclab Real Guitar 2 , ReFx Slayer 2 , a Waves noise and vocal pack ,
- IK T-racks 3 , iZotope Ozone 4 , Waves API and a robust mic to get some live sounds on the beach (this way I would need a minimal pack of samplers)
and , anh , a board , ...........to extra time out of music.....................ed8eb46a05df,

maybe still in the limit........................ winked
