The sounds were pulled from computer cases, chair mats, water bottles, and my trusty old Peizo Springbox. This audio was processed heavily in Ableton to create incredibly deep and expressive soundscapes and percussive transients. This is wonderful stuff for layering your percussion, getting some extreme grunge out of your synths, or adding more processing for dynamic and expressive pads.

EKS-9 offers two modes, 808 and 909, each with their own, characteristic sound. It goes far beyond the capabilities of vintage analog hardware, however, and introduces new parameters, most importantly it offers precise control of the pitch.
