falseFI provides a false stereo from a mono source.

falseFI’s tweakable feed-forward comb-filter splits the incoming audio into varying width frequency bands which are then panned left and right creating a false sense of stereo. As the filter’s offset time is changes, so the width (and therefore position) of the frequency bands is changed.

I have turned them into VST’s to help her with development and gain a better understanding of how hardware can be sampled and turned into a digital plugin. The 3 VST’s include letters from A to Z, minions speaking, laughing and singing. And a Xylophone that spans 3 octaves and includes 3 different hit styles. All instruments are a direct emulation of children’s toy.

3 ALPHABET DOG SOUNDS
The 3 sounds include singles, which are single letters from A to Z. Phrases, which are short 1 second long phrases such as A is for apple. And sentences which are full sentences up to seconds in length. A full set of sounds that can be used much like a speak and spell.

Stylophone is a VST emulation of the original stylophone made famous in the late 60’s early 70’s. The GUI styling is identical to the original hardware with a few additional parameters and controls. Additional parameters include volume, pan, reverb, glide and ADSR.

Oscillator waveforms have been recorded directly using the units built in jack. Each of the 4 oscillators have their own unique tone and can be switched from within the VST. Get the sound of the 60’s in the box.
