I'm getting Demo mode on all Waves plugins on macOS Monterey 12.7.4. Have you by chance figured out how to activate Waves plugins that are in Demo mode yet?

the only way I can get out of demo mode is to run the old waveslicenseengine.pkg patch. the keygen patches no longer work for me. I wish I knew what the cause was. maybe if I stripped all waves out entirely and started over? not sure that's even worth it if the .pkg patch works.

Running 10.15.7 Catalina. Followed all the steps, no luck. Tried running command prompt commented above. Should I be seeing something in Waves Central? Under Licenses? It looks like everything is where it should be from patched folder, with keygen file in correct place as well.

Ok I updated all the plugins in Waves Central, then generated a new license file with the keygen on windows, and dropped it into the licenses folder and when I reopened Ableton all the plugins were there (yes!!!) but also running only in demo mode. Would appreciate any help!

Ok, scratch that; I've solved it!

Replaced Waves License Engine file in Library/Application Support/Waves/Modules/WavesLicenseEngine.bundle/Contents/MacOS

Entered into terminal:

xattr -cr /Library/Application\ Support/Waves/Modules/WavesLicenseEngine.bundle
sudo codesign --force --deep --sign - /Library/Application\ Support/Waves/Modules/WavesLicenseEngine.bundle

Then I restarted my machine, ran AU Reg Utility 14 , restarted Ableton, and there they all were working perfect!!

Is there a tutorial to follow that im missing or how do yall know how to install it?? I tried following the note inside the file but i dont have those folders in program data. I just have one folder that says licenses and inside 2 files

Im trying to install it for windows, can someone please reply me step by step how to do it??

Do i have to download Waves Central or the waves complete?

After installing Waves Central I don't have this folder :
/Library/Application Support/Waves/Modules/WavesLicenseEngine.bundle/Contents/MacOS/

Should I just create one and put WavesLicenseEngine in there? (I'm using an M3)

hey guys I finally got it working after 3 attempts stuck in demo but actually I have the same problem as in the version before - the preset search is GONE. How? It's such an important feature too, to have everything working except it is just weird. Anyone have a solution for this?

Tested as working on macOS Sonoma 14.4.1 with Apple Silicon.

You must select "key" and NOT "comp" when using the keygen. Nothing else will work – I've followed the instructions closely and tried every other method. That is the only thing that makes the plugins get licensed instead of opening in demo mode.

That is not described in the instructions, hence this comment.
Thank you to the forum poster on the sister site who mentioned that.

Note:
- You can be connected to the Internet, it doesn't matter

- Restarting your computer or logging out of your computer will not help anything

- Opening Logic Pro in Rosetta mode will not help anything

- The Cosmos HTML and JS files replacement in the instructions text file pertain to the Waves Cosmos plugin, if you did not install that, ignore those steps in that file

- Waves places their plugins in /Applications/Waves and DAWs have difficulty finding them and for Ableton Live you must manually do a rescan, and for Logic Pro you must either manually rescan or run the Waves AU Reg Utility in /Applications/Waves/

- If you get stuck, the only steps that matter that you do them correctly are generating the license file as mentioned above, and doing the xattr and/or codesign of the bundle as described in the instructions text file.

Additional note on the .wle file extension:
The keygen-generated license file has the file extension .wle. That is how you know your license file is correct. If your plugins open in demo mode, you must check that your license file ends in .wle.

If you see that the extension instead ends in .out, that means you opened the Waves Central app. The Waves Central 14.6.2 app appears to add .out to the filename of your license file upon being opened which then causes your previously authorized plugins to open in demo mode. So if you open the Waves Central app, remove .out from your license file to fix — verify that your license file extension ends in .wle and not .out

I am not sure about and do not believe it matters much which installer version you use or whether it's online or offline, but I used the offline one which is Waves Ultimate 14 v14.04.24 at this link https://audioz.download/software/254534-download_waves-ultimate-14-v140424-macos.html
