KONTAKT - 53,66 GB
The third installment in our World Orchestra Series: ARABIAN Ethnic Orchestra
This collection features over 50 diverse instruments, ranging from playable plucked and bowed strings to vocals, winds, percussion, and sound design, capturing the essence of a true Middle Eastern orchestra. It includes advanced tuning capabilities to deliver an authentic regional sound, along with improvisations and phrases based on the most popular licks and grooves.

Arabian Ethnic Orchestra (or AEO) was fully recorded in Syria with the help of authentic Arabian musicians performing all of the instruments. For the ensembles (Strings, Percussion, Voice FX, etc) we used a medium-sized concert hall, and the soloists were recorded in a smaller studio. All was recorded with different microphones which we later summed into 3 microphone positions - Close, Mid, Far.

As the library has a lot of different content within, we decided to split it into different categories for easier navigation. AEO contains:

- 01 - Bowed Strings (Ensemble Strings and Solo Strings)
- 02 - Plucked Strings
- 03 - Woodwinds
- 04 - Percussion
- 05 - Voices
- 06 - Sparks

In addition to the articulations we typically sample, for this particular library we wanted to really capture the authentic performances of the different musicians, so that is why the library features a bunch of "Improvisation" instruments, along with some interesting "Phrases" patches. Please download our manual for a detailed list on articulations and instruments included.

The percussion section forms the backbone of the music from this region. We’ve included a variety of fully produced percussion loops, along with individual instrument performances for each, allowing you to achieve quick and satisfying results with ease. Multiple time signatures are available for maximum versatility, and the loops automatically sync to the tempo of your host sequencer.

This doesn't show up in my kontakt bobdule v8.2. I placed the Data folder with the .nka file in said location and R2R Kontakt Manager told me that the library was successfully registered after doubleclicking the nicnt file. i have the latest native access xml installed (afaik).

Any ideas what else i could try?

Ok, in case someone has this problem as well, i now got it sorted out by deleting the corresponding .json file in user\public\documents\Native Instruments\installed_products then deleting the .nicnt file in the library and creating a new .nicnt file with nicnt generator 2. that fixed it.

Just a tip if the lib still doesn't work even after placing the s8_U6_n1.nka into
path_to_portable_folder/UserData/Arabian Ethnic Orchestra/data:
The library containing folder name (with subdirectories like instruments, samples etc) should be similar to the (created) folder where the s8_U6_n1.nka is put.
If you have renamed "Arabian Ethnic Orchestra" to e.g. "NI Arabian Ethnic Orchestra", the path should be: path_to_portable_folder/UserData/NI Arabian Ethnic Orchestra/Data

Thanks hansje for the tip!
I do indeed have the sample data stored in a directory called 'Strezov Sampling - Arabian Ethnic Orchestra' (which is outside of kontakts portable directory, on a different drive).

I changed the directory that s8_U6_n1.nka is placed into to match as you suggested and thought this was going to solve the problem.
(ie. D:\Plugins\Native Instruments\KontaktPortable_v820\UserData\Strezov Sampling - Arabian Ethnic Orchestra\Data\ )

But unfortunately the register screen still persists.
Thanks so much for your suggestion tho!! I think I'm one step closer.

Any other tips greatly appreciated.

you can't see that you have a mistake in your folder name?

Hi Talula,
Yep I changed the folder name from "KontaktPortable_v820\UserData\Arabian Ethnic Orchestra\Data\" to
"KontaktPortable_v820\UserData\Strezov Sampling - Arabian Ethnic Orchestra\Data\" as hansje suggested that may work.

SOLVED: in case anyone else is as stupid as me, the problem ended up being that I needed to remove the library using the portables library manager, and re-add it again.
The first time I must have added the library prior to copying s8_U6_n1.nka into the portables UserData folder and it needed a re-scan.

Just for completeness, Hansje is absolutely correct.

If you edit the name of the library using portables Library Manager (which I do so that I can find the library easier in kontakt, with everything sorted by company name)
from
'Arabian Ethnic Orchestra' to say
'Strezov Sampling - Arabian Ethnic Orchestra'

then you need to copy s8_U6_n1.nka into a folder in UserData with the same name
ie. KontaktPortable_v820\UserData\Strezov Sampling - Arabian Ethnic Orchestra\Data\

AND re-scan it all using the library manager (ie remove, then add it again, and edit the library name)

no, the shouldn't be renamed!

Well, I always rename libs (the containing folder) including this one.
This makes it much easier to find and navigate when you have hundreds of libs. Works fine with portable Kontakt as described!

Doesnt' work for me. Even after copying the .nka files (I created a proper directory) it still ask me the 12 number code.
OS 13.4 Kontakt 7 . I used the 'add library for mac os..' dmg to add the library.
Any suggestions?

EDIT: same thing with new kontakt 8 version

Post the s8 file in the Library under the Go Menu. You might have to hold shift to see it
