It sounds like a tongue-twister but there's no doubt that in the right hands, magical musical instruments can create magical musical moments. For example, back in the late 60s when Paul McCartney detuned those Mellotron® MKII Flute tapes for the opening of Strawberry Fields Forever, magic was created and has resonated ever since. However, it's rare to find this kind of magic emanating from an instrument without it even being played. But in the case of The Streetly Tapes - Vol 1 Expansion Pack for M-Tron Pro we knew that we had a magical combination immediately after a discussion took place between ourselves and Streetly Electronics, the original UK 'Tron manufacturers, which focused around them providing their original tapes for use in the M-Tron Pro.

Initially developed by Opsonar, the same company behind the Optigan, the Orchestron was adopted by ex Moog super salesman David Van Koevering under the company name VaKo and offered to professional musicians in the mid 1970’s as a potential alternative to the Mellotron®. The main advantage was no 8 second note limitation, increased portability due to its smaller size and a quick way of changing sounds.

Oxymore is a delay plugin with stutter, lowpass filter and modulation effects thrown in the feedback signal path. It can be used to generate classic delay effects as well as wild signal mutations.
The input signal first goes through a delay line on each stereo channel, but instead of sending directly the output back into the delay line, the resulting signal is sent to a stutter processor, then to a lowpass filter, and finally to another delay line on the opposite channel which is modulated for creating chorus type effects. The output of the second delay line is then routed back to the first one on the original channel.

This library is a detailed emulation of a hi-end 5-string “studio custom” bass from the famous Canadian company F-Bass. We’d characterize its sound as the embodiment of a deep fundamental bass, coupled with excellent clarity. We recorded 12 dynamic layers for each fret of each string with different playing techniques and articulations.
