Adam Monroe's Beats Drum VST, Au, and Kontakt sample library was created by sampling 3 drum kits and 14 different snares using different combinations of drum heads and tunings in an acoustically dead environment. The end result is a large drum sample library with interchangeable parts that sounds great no matter the combination. The various kits and drums were sampled utilyzing the Glyn Johns method. Drum overheads were a pair of Shure SM81's, bass drums were recorded through an Audix D6, and snare drums were captured with a Shure SM 57, with various spot mics used to beef up the sound of the toms when needed.

Antidote Audio has announced the release of a new collection for dubstep music producers. The pack is created by Zetta – “champs when it comes to dubstep”, with releases on Fire Power Rec (Datsik’s record label) as well as with some appearances on Youtube promotional channels like Dubstep Gutter. This pack includes drum shots, loops, but also some useful presets for Serum. In depth, expect melody loops, drum loops, drops, one shot drum samples and the presets I mentioned, which of course, require a full copy of Xfer Records Serum.

The Viola features up to 3.5 octaves, 3 dynamic layers for sustained articulations, true legato, 4 Round Robins for short articulations like Spiccato, Staccato and Pizzicato. We provide you the ability to create your unique sound by mixing the 3 microphones positions (Close, Mid and Far). The sampling was made with top quality gear: Schoeps and AudioTechnica microphones, Neve and Millennia Media preamps.
