Because many people experience the difficulties during the EZD2 activation, we have decided to release this update. Please note that our previous keygen is working.

Change on v1.2.2 :

* Keygen shows error message when you try to patch write protected files.
* Keygen shows notification message when you try to patch a file which is already patched.
* The default ttauth name is now changed from "*.ttauth".
* Keygen shows error message when you try to generate auth files without network card.

Because they start to use all-in-one keyfile which contains serial and response code, new authorization cannot allows you to activate without network card. Otherwise people can generate a generic auth file which is usable on every computers without network card. Keep in mind that you have at least one network card to authorize.

This keygen does not bring one on. It would be better to find a possibility to be able to activate EZD 2 without enabled network card.

As far as I can tell: Yes, you need a network card and the card has to be enabled, but no need to be connected to the internet with a cable.

anyone can confirm?

btw: funny that this network card issue is a big topic now. I had it with ample sound guitars too and back then it seemed I was almost the only one with that problem, but with the nice help from this great community the problem was solved in short time :-)

The key EZdrummer 2 only works with hardware enabled NETWORK.

The network input Corded have to be active.

Not only works with Wifi!

I'm not sure I follow this entirely... Could you please tell me if this means I will need to be connected to the internet in order to install EZ Drum 2 and run the keygen/authorization and cannot perform this offline like I used to do? Or is this similar to the Addictive Drums where you have to save this separate keyfile using the R2R keygen?

Sorry to ask because I still haven't completed download so I have yet to try installation and don't want to install over my current fully functioning EZ Drummer 1.

the way I understand, you need to run the keygen on the machine that will eventually use EZD2. And yes, that machine needs to have an enabled network card, that needs to be there when you use EZD2. It does not require a cable and does not require to be connected (I think), but they use the 'id' of your network card in the authorization, so it needs to be there.

For the more technical people: If they use the mac address of 'a' network card, can't it be spoofed? And installing something like (for example) Virtualbox which installs a 'virtual' network card, doesn't that work?

Thank you for the kind response and clarification dipblabla :D!! So as long as I have a network card, I should be able to run the keygen after installation and generate the patch for ttauth after I input my computer ID, and the keygen will automatically generate the serial # and authorization code into a file (name.ttauth) that I save in the toontrack folder and I can recall that authorization when I open EZD 2....

Sounds awesome!! I will probably try this on a computer without EZDrummer 1 installed to make sure it will not affect my current configuration.

O.k., so I have no network card in my DAW, and am not willing to go through some convoluted virtual network card B.S. There fore, I consider this app not properly cracked. R2R has been great with bringing us many properly cracked apps, but I truely believe they missed the boat on this one. Maybe in the future this will change, but I have a feeling I'll be waiting a long time.

Well, I think it's toontrack picking an authorization system that uses your network card that's too blame, not the one patching it :).

And R2R always tries to make a proper keygen if they can. If you want the copy protection more disabled / ripped out you need a real patch which isn't R2R's 'forte' as long as they don't have to.... I think :)

I don't use EZD2 - nor EZD1 - but I can only respect TEAM R2R for the time, knowledge and patience they've put in such a release, which, in this particular case, many here were waiting for, full version included ( full box of sweets included ).

FINALLY GOT IT TO WORK ON MAC!!!

I'm using Pro Tools HD 10.3.8 - OSX 10.9.2-

I tweaked some of the steps another user posted

1. Install
2. Run any DAW (i run pro tools), fire up the ezdrummer and it will asks for the authorization, click offline
3. run the keygen (YOU DO NOT NEED TO USE THE PATCH SECTION OF KEYGEN), paste the computer id, click generate serial, and create auth file and save to desktop ( i used the new keygen that was uploaded KEYGEN
4. authorize the plugin .. (let it fail with the error)
5. close pro tools
6. copy and replace the EZDRUMMER.DPM PLUGIN (OR .VST .COMPONENT WHERE IT GOES) file from the R2R folder to LIBRARY>APPLICATION SUPPORT>DIGIDESIGN>PLUGINS- **NOTE**THE R2R DID NOT UNZIP PROPERLY WHEN UNZIPPING WITH Z7X.APP, I THEN USED KEKA.APP TO UNZIP AND ALL THE K'D PLUGINS APPEARED (.DPM .VST .COMPONENT)
7. IF RUNNING PT 11 MOVE THE EZDRUMMER.AAXPLUGIN TO THE PLUGINS (UNUSED) FOLDER (LIBRARY>APPLICATION SUPPORT>AVID>AUDIO>PLUGINS> **THIS IS WHY IT KEPT FAILING FOR ME IT WAS LOADING THE AAX NOT THE DPM**
8. OPEN PRO TOOLS AGAIN, OPEN EZDRUMMER, DO OFFLINE INSTALLATION, AND CHOOSE THE FILE YOU SAVED IN STEP 3. ..

SUCCESS YOU HAVE AUTHORIZED EZDRUMMER!!

For the record, the previous kgen was working fine. I installed the package, evaluated it, determined that the upgrade was worth it (many many new features...), found out that compatibility with my expansion packs was perfect, and then bought the legit package ($90, well worth it!!)
