It's a small video, you can watch it, if you can't find new "do's" at least you can find some new "dont's". He had a 6-10 layers in a lead sound and a crazy EQ curve at some point. And he was not processing audio renders, he was still at MIDI tracks phase. When you find that you need crazy EQ curves to adjust a layer, you rather go in the synth and adjust the sound there. But, as the guy says, lots of ways give the same result. So each on it's own

Wow, I would never do this. The curve even looks unnatural to me. Instead of doing that, he probably could just compose smarter in terms of freqeuncy separation. This might work for EDM but not for more natural sounding genres.

This video series is very beginner/basic. My post processing chains are frequency split with the Bands saturated compressed and stereo placement done on the individual bands then they're all saturated and compressed back together. You will learn some basics but the post-processing chains is where you develop your own sound/tone
