BitCoin for Musicians. Simple guide on how to enter. screenshot
I have withhold this subject for too long, even though i've been actively holding BitCoin a few years now.

You may think it doesn't concern you, just like i did, but even if it feels that way now, mark my words, it will concern everyone on this planet very soon.

I will keep this post to a minimum and i really recommend everyone to get acquainted with it.

the Day We Fight Back Against Mass Surveillance screenshot
The Day We Fight Back is an ongoing global protest against mass surveillance by the US National Security Agency (NSA), the UK GCHQ, and the other Five Eyes partners involved in global surveillance. The "digital protest" took place on February 11, 2014 with more than 6,000 participating websites which primarily took the form of webpage banner-advertisements that read, "Dear Internet, we’re sick of complaining about the NSA. We want new laws that curtail online surveillance. Today we fight back.”[8] Organizers hoped lawmakers would be made aware "that there's going to be ongoing public pressure until these reforms are instituted."

www.fightforthefuture.org/pipa
The video above discusses the Senate version of the PROTECT IP Act, but the House bill that was introduced TODAY is much much worse.

It'll give the government new powers to block Americans' access websites that corporations don't like. The bill would criminalize posting all sorts of standard web content -- music playing in the background of videos, footage of people dancing, kids playing video games, and posting video of people playing cover songs.

This legislation will stifle free speech and innovation, and even threaten popular web services like Twitter, YouTube, and Facebook.

The bill was just introduced: We need to act now to let our lawmakers know just how terrible it is. Will you fill out the form above to ask your lawmakers to oppose the legislation?

UPD: an interesting letter added inside. good read.

Google Unlocked - Browser Extension to Find Warez screenshot
Some of you are still using Google to search for warez, even though it will get less and less effective, this extension will help you by picking out content removed by DMCA abuse and bring it back into search results.

I think it's a good initiative which will eventually shutdown, once they get some popularity.
Nevertheless, you can use it right now.

Join the Battle for Net Neutrality screenshot
The FCC is trying to kill the Internet again. This time, it’s even worse.

Comcast, Verizon and AT&T want to end net neutrality so they can control what we see & do online. First, they want to gut FCC rules in a December 14 vote. Then, they plan to pass bad legislation that allows extra fees, throttling & censorship. But Congress can put a stop to all of this.

just letting you know guys...

As of July 1, 2010 RapidShare's RapidPoints programme will be discontinued. This decision by the company is a reaction to claims that the reward programme rewards the uploading of contents that are protected by copyright.
We feel it is necessary to undertake this step as we do not wish RapidShare's users to be exposed to such an unjustified general suspicion. Our primary objective remains to provide users with a fast, secure and reliable service.
