Can anyone please help me. When I install waves release by R2R they never show in Studio one or Cubase latest versions. I have Windows 11. What do I need to do before installing? Are there key host files I need to delete from a previous installation from R2R?

Next time use Revo Uninstaller to be sure you clean up your system as needed than install latest Waves
in the meantime

Install Waves Central, run the program, at start the WC fixing permissions and ownership. When finish
you can close it and uninstall it.
Worked for me.
I'm using Revo uninstaller, but I need to do this every time to make it work.

For me sometimes only a few Waves Plugins show (no Waves VST instruments) and what I have to do is go to C :\ ProgramData \ Waves Audio and right click the Waves Audio [Folder] and click Properties. Click Security [Tab] then Edit... Click Add... Type everyone and hit Check Names then OK... Tick Full Control and Modify in Allow [Column] and Apply and OK and then on restarting DAW they all show up... This is with a recent clean Windows 11 installation too but worked for me.

Place the keygens in one folder and exclude it from scans, should be fine. I use ESET so I I've done that and don't have a problem.

Something is not right with this version only 4 vsts are showing rest are not able to find it. Tried everything mentioned in the notes (Using Revo Uninstaller) deleting all the folders in mentioned in the notes but didnt work. try to install & uninstall few times didnt work. Switch back to previous version & everything works fine. So something is not right with this release. Using Ableton 12.1 on windows 11.

I was just about to post the same thing. Ableton 12 on Windows 11. I have used only R2R's versions of Waves, following the txt file exactly to clean everything up each time. Zero issues for the past couple of years using Complete or Ultimate. This is their only Waves release that I've had a problem with. Going back to their previous release (Waves Ultimate v2024.09.25 Incl Emulator-R2R) works just fine.

I can't open any of the apps (Bass Fingers, Bass Slapper, etc..) and get a generic error:
"Waves Audio Bass Fingers App failed to Load
Please verify compatibility with your system or try to re-install the software."

Then, in Ableton, I did another plugin scan and it only picks up these:

IDX Intelligent Dynamics Mono
IDX Intelligent Dynamics Stereo
IDX LIVE Intelligent Dynamics Mono
IDX LIVE Intelligent Dynamics Stereo

I did try uninstall/reinstall with the same issue, so I ended up going back to the September release.

Yep, same issue here, only some plugins available in Reaper, Waveshells blacklisted on Reason, tried to re-enable it with no luck at all, first time i get issues with a R2R's Waves Ultimate release. I still have to try in Ableton but it will probably be the same.

Wow! 8 gigs for only 2 plugins, damn, they must be the best plugins in the world! Seriously, there is a problem here that it only installs a couple of plugins, cleaning and installation process recommended by the team, and three times the same thing, I will wait for a review, thanks anyway!

see my comment above as last version was OK but have had these issues with previous versions of Waves R2R and they all seem to show up OK when just changing that one thing for that one folder

Like many others, I had been having issues with the Waves R2R releases ever since 2024.09.25
I would get DLL initialization errors when the WavesShell plugin was scanned and no instruments/FX would be visible in my DAW.
Thanks to d-mode for the Waves Central tip that solved 90% of my issue.
I also recommend people use Revo Uninstaller to help clean things up when uninstalling.

So, what worked for me on Windows 11 with a clean install and using Cakewalk Sonar.
1. Install Wave - Ultimate v2024.11.29
2. Go to Waves website, download and install Waves Central.
3. Run Waves Central app to let it fix permissions
4. Close Waves Central (can be uninstalled as no longer needed)
5. Run Cakewalk Sonar
Now, because I had already run Sonar and it had scanned the WavesShell plugins, but wasn't loading any instruments or FX, I specifically had to force Sonar to RE-SCAN EXISTING plug-ins. Once I did that, all the Waves instrumenbts and FX showed up.

Tried your approach but for Cubase instead and it didn't work. I agree with the people above that I'll stick with the earlier release until a better version comes out because I'm also only getting...

Try my fix above, works for me and saw same plugins until i changed the security to everyone for that folder
