Aw, man, I wasn't having a go at you. I just thought you were being a bit testy. I was being sympathetic to someone who justifiably would love to see the same software available to the Mac users as is available to the Windows users. That's all.

You may or may not be surprised by how many reports/complaints we receive about "Mac begging"... it really does annoy other members and especially the crack teams(!) that are actually less inclined to do so after seeing repeated comments as such. Go figure.

I was a Mac user for twenty years until two months ago. I understand the Mac-user pain.

The idea that crackers may be less inclined to break Mac software because they're annoyed by people asking for it seems… unprofessional. And counterproductive. I like to think that anyone capable of doing the job, who can do the job properly, will do the job properly, regardless.

Every cracker-team's efforts, Scene or P2P, is always highly appreciated. They are incredible.

BTW if i was r2r which btw is a windows team and would read your post about unproffesionality and wtf counterproductivity i would never ever release gifts for mac users again which certainly have high wages...wtf you an prime example why the mac place is hidden and ppl like hexwars said adios .unfcknblvbl

There are a few people who have seriously misunderstood my reply to omiac.

Cudos! Doubly true after all the shit that is dumped out for apple every day AND the fact that when a windows person does anything like this in an apple comment area they get the ceiling brought down around their heads.

It's a recurring problem here; long-time users and even residents flooding posts with request comments and such, all the time. The best we can do is reinforce the rules, and in my somewhat short time here, I think Oly and omiac have been very generous in letting this slide many times. So while it may seem harsh, I can understand the frustration from a moderators' perspective.

I'm glad I'm a Windows user. Mac users usually have a hard time to get cracked plugins (specially those who have strong protections like iLok), they annoy other members here by asking for those, and once they get it, there's no guarantee these are cracked correctly just like on Windows. I guess I'm on the WIN-ning side

To answer your questions.. simply put, comments here are supposed to only be about the content of the release and nothing else.

Why? Because members, for example, want to know if something is working correctly prior to downloading and installing, whether or not it has issues and if so what they are and how to fix them. Changelogs. Does it suck or is it god mode? Alternatives. Optimal technical settings, usage scenarios and so on... these types of things.

Now imagine every thread has 20 x "dead link/REUP!", 20 x "Mac please!", 20 x "Why no AAX?!", 20 x "When Pro Tools + UAD???" requests. 20 x separate off topic FBInstasnapredbeef drama love effusion tit for tat tangents etc etc etc... if we just delete all the rules and let things run as they may, every thread will become complete chaos. How tf is anybody gonna find any useful information about a release in a mess like that?!

As you can clearly see in this post, we allow the rules to be bent now and again, but when the same people do it over and over again even after friendly reminders, things become drawn out and/or get really nasty, we have to step in and shit needs to be taken care of. When I receive reports and PM complaints, it is my responsibility to respond according to the rules and site admin. directives.

We have community rules as a guideline to keep things running smoothly, organized and tidy, as well as to keep all the drama, spam, scams, haters, nastiness etc. at bay as much as possible... as a musician and producer myself, and as a moderator, I am not infallible, but love me or hate me, my goal is always to make this place the best user experience possible for everyone. We, the staff, are here for you guys first, not the other way around!
