Soundevice Digital DIFIX v2.0 Incl Patched and Keygen-R2R screenshot
Team R2R | 13 Jan 2021 | 12.5MB
A lot of sound cards claim to have a Hi-Z instrument input. But in reality, the input impedance is not high enough to make your pick-ups work properly. And that has a displeasing effect on your instrument‘s signal. If you use one of these types of soundcards, you definitely need DIFIX to make your directly recorded guitars or bass sound right.

What it does
Soundcard's instrument input is not the same as a proper DI-box. When plugging your guitar or bass directly in it your recording may lose brilliance and sound really dull. DIFIX uses multi-band dynamic processor to level the sound and adds a little bit of analogue saturation as if you used a real DI-box.

(Not only) for home studios
Mostly, you will need DIFIX when recording in a home studio with a cheap sound card. But we dare to say even with a hundreds-dollars hardware DIs you may still need a little fix. The question is not IF but HOW MUCH.

First step fix
The first step wrong, all track bad. DIFIX should be inserted as the first plugin on the guitar track. After you fix the input imperfection use all your favourite guitar effects and amp simulations.

Easy operation
All the science is inside this easy looking plugin and so controlling it is no science at all. Simply choose if you are recording guitar or bass and decide how much should DIFIX improve your input signal.

Guitarists, prepare for more
DIFIX is United Plugins' first electric guitar/bass dedicated effect. But it is definitely not the last. Expect something bigger to use in combination with DIFIX...

Save your old records
To play it fair, DIFIX can fix a lot. It can save and help to remix your old records. But if you are serious with direct recording buy a propper DI-box and use DIFIX in a combination with it.

Hassle-free software protection
No iLok, no dongle nor internet access is required for activation. Our software uses licence files to activate your software. You can freely use the purchased software on all your computers as long as you are the user.

Realistic 3D yet flexible GUI
Photorealistic graphic user interface of the plugin gives you the feeling you are touching the real hardware. But it easily adapts to your needs. You can always drag the arrow in the bottom right corner to change its size - make it smaller to save the valuable screen space, or enlarge it to make it easier to use.

15-Days unlimited trial version for free
All the descriptions are nothing comparing to putting hands on the plugin yourself. No saving limits. No noises. No boundaries. Engage the plugin in your project for real and fully exploit its powers for two weeks.

64-bit audio quality at ANY sampling rate
The plugin provides the maximum audio quality you can get. It uses internal 64-bit audio processing and can handle any sampling rate. 192 kHz or even higher.

Smart bypass
The intelligent way our plugins manage bypassing ensures that you don't get any click or harmful noises when automating the parameter. It also compensates for latency ensuring that the bypass states are perfectly in sync with each other.

As always thanks to R2R, also for letting us know new software that can often pass off our radar.
But this can't do what it claims. What's not there when you record (signal wise), it's not there always, and no software can create it.

Well, I haven't tried it yet, but I suspect it can correct the gain to proper levels (a mistake I see on almost every DI recorded guitars and then blamed to hardware). What it can't certainly achieve is doing it at no cost, in this case, if the signal requires a significant increase in gain then the signal to noise ratio will increase.

Overall, it is better to properly meter your signal but for tracks that already exist and need some correction something is better than nothing, I guess.

You're right. A plugin can only modify amplitude and/or change eq AFTER the hardware input, but a D.I. box's main function is to match output and input impedances in hardware.
The dull tone and low volume is a consequence of impedance mismatch, so if you don't correct this issue (with a proper hw D.I. first) and you just limit to amplify/eq the signal you're amplifying/eq the added noise floor too.
I just can't imagine how this plug works... but maybe there is some unknown magic in there.

Anyway... let's try it :-)

They say: A lot of sound cards claim to have a Hi-Z instrument input. But in reality, the input impedance is not high enough to make your pick-ups work properly. And that has a displeasing effect on your instrument‘s signal.
and:. When plugging your guitar or bass directly in it your recording may lose brilliance and sound really dull.
No software can restore a brilliance that is not there, or make up frequencies that doesn't even reach the computer. Binaries cannot climb cables backwards toward guitar p-up and make it work properly. Impedance is a physical fact, not a software thing. And it's no about gain increase.
So, a lot of sound cards claim to have a Hi-Z instrument input, but....
This soft claim to fix the input imperfection but...

I suppose it must be an harmonics enhancer of some kind, fooling the ears.. but maybe it's useful as such

Did anyone hear the introductory video on the website?
I can't believe they've made a demo with such horribly played soundtrack!!.
If i'd play like the guy who made the video, I don't see the point in trying to make my instrument sound better.

It seems that all links are dead

Except Rapidgator !

Nope, it seems that you're getting blocked in your country from accessing Rapidgator or you simply didn't check all links. Just for your info, we don't do reuploads unless both Rapidgator and Uploaded are down.
Please take the time to familiarize yourself with the board rules.

Links are definitely dead, nothing to do with geo-blocking.

At the time I checked, it was showing Rapidgator as online.

All links are dead...as well they should be for this bad poser of a hardware utility box.

Thank you R2R for the chance to mock this product.
