I've spent my life trying to make things simpler. Because I find ultimately that complicated doesn't reach the heart. (c) Hans Zimmer

I actually find it very useful for separating individual samples from entire drum loops. If there is a specific snare, kick, bell, melody, etc. it does a fairly good job of isolating them into 4-6 layers of sound for you to extract and export. Afterwards, you can select which layers to manipulate or combine. The key is selecting a musical cut with a more defined low, mid, and high range to allow it a better sense of separating based according to frequency and making sure you remember to match the bpm of your DAW to the estimated calculated Regroover bpm of the sample you input...

i have a track i made many years ago when i started producing that ive always wanted to remake, but i lost the project files and stems years ago. i tried to reverse engineer the sounds but could never quite get it right.

i think this might be a handy tool for at least extracting sounds that i can layer to help get closer to the sound i want.

thanks mono, R2R and olymoon

it seems to do what it claims perfectly well, but to me it is about as useful as groove extraction or something like that, which is to say it will create layers of the sampled file, but that has to be tweaked to make it musically useful. i don't see what all the praise on their site is about...

I agree. To me, the Pro version is most useful, but the price is too steep for something I see as a minor utility. Over $200 USD. If that 200 did everything Drumagog does *and* this, it would be a better deal. Or, cut the price in half.
