Key Features

Perfect low-end stereo
A little stereo never hurt anyone, but it's essential to be mindful of phase issues and excessive width in the lows, especially with tracks for vinyl cuts or club playback. Basslane Pro offers continuous and precise reduction or expansion of stereo width in the lows/mids using high fidelity linear phase processing for an undistorted stereo image. On top of this, Basslane Pro adds novel solutions to preserve valuable musical content affected by width correction.

Wideband compression with multi-band control
At the heart of Unisum is a unique multi-band detection path offering immense control. The sidechain is split into 3 frequency bands, each with parallel RMS and Peak detectors. The result is efficient yet musical level tracking with flexibility to tailor the response for a perfect fit with any track. You can also set up frequency dependent Threshold, Ratio, and Attack/Release.. all without destructive crossovers in the audio path.

Mono bass without losing impact
Mono Recovery is a unique feature of Basslane Pro that allows you to preserve the anti-phase low-end that can typically occur with wide synth basses and highly processed tracks. When played back in mono, or when using other processors for monoing, these types of signals drop in level substantially or disappear altogether resulting in an obvious lack of low-end. Mono Recovery prevents this, allowing them to be blended back in to taste for bass that retains its impact, even in mono.

Add dimension with Stereo Harmonics
Basslane Pro introduces a new way to add width and character. While keeping the lowest frequencies in mono, Basslane Pro allows you to add upper harmonics based on the mono’ed low-end and pan those wide instead. The result is natural sounding stereo width that is musically tied to the bass, without problematic stereo in the subs. With flexible controls to adjust character and spread, Stereo Harmonics can be used to enrich bass so it translates on small speakers, to add subtle dimension, or for a distinct spatial coloration.

Unisum-powered dynamics
The Dynamics section in Basslane Pro features two multiband versions of our acclaimed Unisum Mastering Compressor, adapted to provide compression or expansion of just the frequency range you’ve defined. The Side mode makes it easy to tame overly dynamic side information or to add dynamic stereo expansion. The Stereo mode is fine-tuned to add punch and weight to the low-end. With a few basic controls it’s remarkably simple to use, yet sounds beautiful and helps the low-end sit just right.

It's just a false positive, it happens with a lot of modified binary files.

really good plugin if you have a good listening speakers. With headphones works too but with good and big speakers is excellent.

The timeboot of this plugin still seems to exist. I loaded it in Reaper and stopped it for a while without any action, then I came back and found that it was muted.

Yeah, there was one other check in there, and it got me too. I fixed it last night . Try downloading again. The new revision has a time stamp for May 24.

I want to believe that they do it in jest. I try to not do revisions and aim for one good release, but it happens sometimes since you can't test everything. That's why I value the comments. But for sure there's a difference between complaining and pointing out an issue with the release. It's a good day when teams put out fixes for their releases.

But let's hope this is that last revision I make for this specific release

Why are people going crazy about this plugin? I never heard about the company before. I understand it's more for mastering engineers or will it be useful for me as a regular average techno producer as well?

if you dont understant what it does you probably dont need it

if you produce techno like umek, drum code or similar I think that this plugin will not be popular in that music, unless someone wanna reach a very original effect

anyhow, this plugin is amazing, like everything from Tone Project (not only for mastering...)

Totaly agree. I reched a point in that i start thinking in no mastering procesors or especific Plugins for mastering, it's only márketing, the companies only needs to sale you a product, in fact that was an era when the engineer are límited for the units, now a days of course the digital it's not analog but their have their on flavor plus no limitations plus extra functions. And something else, Plugins like this, that make you go fast,.and let you skip steps to reach faster to a determinate result in right and correct way, are totaly worth, and that it's a fact when you are a producer, the only that matters for a producer is the art of creation, and of course that sound good, and this is one of those plugins. More or less can a make a list whit Plugins like this, that are no more that twenty.

mastering ideas come frome old times hardware, with no recall in equalizers, for example, then companies make hardware with clicks on potenciometers, to take notes in paper for a sesion.
Of course you can use a master hardware eq on tracking, was the same but with minor changes.
In soft plugins you can recall, there is not clicks, all plugins have values in pots . . . but there is a need for mastering people in certain plugins. This plugin is very nice for mastering . . . or for tracking of course . . .

IMO it's a plugin that solves a specific problem that's otherwise pretty involved and complex to correct yourself. If you use this plugin to mono your low-end (instead of some other plugin), you will make the mastering engineer's work a lot easier, something that will be greatly appreciated (and maybe even save some money).

of course, it will depend of the track. if you have already lot of information on sides, difficult to add harmonics. If your track is minimal, it is great. It depends of taste also !
