i mean over the last how many interations have been posted "uncracked" yet no one takes a "crack" at it probably due to their protection or no one is going to give up their legit license so they can make a gen for it, who knows at this point.

seeing the cost of it plus the cost of the expansions and hearing they are very slow to add support, features and new expansions i'd say it's close to becoming abandonware at this point

yea i mean fortunately for me, unfortunately for others, i would never invest the money in it unless it's a group buy between like 5-6 people. I have full Roli Studio, Equator 1,Equator 2, Strobe 2, Cypher 2, all expansions, and my roli seaboard rise 49. Now there is nothing that thing cannot do and I'm serious in that.

Given the kind of protection, based on computer ID, group buy could only be useful to give the account to someone who could "fix" it.

I agree with you that Rapid have some unique features, like it's true granular oscillators. It's also very practical to work with.

But, the day that Phase Plant implement this, Parawave can go to the forgotten synth, because of it's slow and only minor updates, and it's incredibly bad costumer service.
That's also why they deserve to get cracked.

ah i see, well with that said that's a hefty price for it, then I bet the expansions are also registered the same more than likely, which will lead to multiple buys of same thing. Seems......expensive.

This synth looks absolutely incredible. The real nugget imo is the resynthesis, endless sounds from that feature alone.

at least it will "potentially" bring new customers who want to go legit if it is. I mean there's the argument it won't and there will be sales lost etc etc. I'm not sure how in depth the demo allows you to work with but when their business practices are lacking the full thing needs to be out there. Look at Nexus for example, it's been cracked since V 2.2 as far as I remember and they are still a very profitable company.

that's unfortunate. I'm not much of a sound designer but do understand enough synthesis. I don't have a lot of time to produce so I preset surf a lot and not ashamed to say so. Even with 1000 presets it still takes a level of skill to determine what sounds good for the project and how it mixes into it. This synth seems more for sound designers, I need ready made sounds ready to record that the demo doesn't seem to be in my favor.

Some big differences:
Rapid have a true granular oscillators and resynthesis.
Rapid have only 2 fixed routing filters per layer. (8 layers max)
Rapid have max 3 Oscilator per layer (max 8 layers)
Rapid's Arpegiator is limited and mono. You can use chords only by importing midi files which are not editable later.
Rapid's Envelopes are ADSR only, no free shapes.
Rapid can load samples, but no editable loop ... (in 2023 )

Avenger have multi segments enveloppes.
Avenger have 4 freely routable filters per preset.
Avenger use a max of 8 Oscillators per preset.
Avenger have Advanced midi arpegiator, including chords
Avenger is able to make polyphonic oscillators (chords)
Avenger have free draw envelopes and LFOs
Avenger can Load Samples, edit them, and program a loop into them.
Avenger can load more than one sample into one oscillator.
Avenger have a dedicated drum sequencer with basic sample edition.

I could go on, but as you can see, only speaking about structure, they are very different.

Add to this that their filters and effects are also different = these are 2 different planets.

Even so, IMHO, the day that Avenger will come with an update that include true, finest and detailed granular oscillators ... I can throw Rapid.

And I know it's coming, so I can foresee Rapid's unfuture...
