REAPER is a digital audio workstation. It is a complete multitrack audio and MIDI recording, editing, processing, mixing, and mastering environment. Using your current computer and no other software, you can import any audio and MIDI, synthesize, sample, compose, arrange, edit, mix, and master songs or any other audio projects.

If you add a hardware audio interface of your choice (AD/DA: analog-to-digital/ digital-to-analog) and a microphone, you have a complete recording studio. It is suitable for recording anything from a soloist to a band to an orchestra.
REAPER converts your computer into the full power of any top-of-the-line recording studio. It will support almost any existing audio interface. Even interfaces manufactured by companies whose software does not allow you to use any other hardware interface.

REAPER doesn’t have track types, busses, tools, or offline processing. If you want to create a drum bus, simply add a track above the drum tracks and press the folder button. The drums will automatically send to the folder. Once you get the drum levels and FX tweaked right where you want them, you can record the folder’s output to non-destructively freeze the drums and move on.

Is it portable?
I wish r2r release it.

Every Reaper release can be installed as portable if you want.

Hi, did anyone tried to install it over last R2R version?

Edit: well, i just realized that this is not patched so it's probably not a good idea to try :)

It's weird. If I delete the new binary and copy the fix binary into the install folder it crashes.

However, if I leave the newly installed reaper.exe in place but run the fix binary from the download folder, it works fine.

Back to the last r2r for me, I think.

I dont get it. just install the one from there website. full version forever trail. and if you hate the delayed splashscreen so much, buy the damn thing. Its 60 bucks

I wonder what made you choose that user name. ;-)

Let me try to explain even if both of our post will be removed because they're off-topic.

60 bucks in your country can easily be worth 600 in another one.
Additionally, not the whole world has unlimited or unrestriced access to the internet or even worse, to online banking at all.

$60. costs less than a friday night date. and way more rewarding in the long run than said date.

For you maybe. For other people on the planet it's two month of food.
  Member 15.02.2019 164
these arguments are nice but if true then where do they find the money for a PC? and sound cards, and headphones, and speakers? so, we go 'round in circles - if they are piss poor they can't even afford a $60 DAW they can't afford a PC either - somewhere in there's a bit of hypocrisy don't you think. just my 2 cents.

A non-profit hobby is not worth $60. PC is necessary, I'd pirate it if I could, but that is not possible.
60$ is my 3 months budget on food during the pandemic.

Nanook In some country, like Cuba, people got parts, stolen from government warehouses and build their own computer. Other got old computer donated , etc ...
Also, as someone said before, in some countries, like Iran, people dont have access to credit card , they cant pay even if they wish to do so.
I can give you more details if you wish, but pm me to avoid more off topic.

Like i said, you dont have to pay for it. You will have the delayed splash screen, but atleast you have the full uncracked version fully updated.
Anyway, peace out.
