With KONTAKT 6, you can sound like a snare drum, a symphony orchestra, or anything in between, from a universe of sampled instruments. It’s a simple sampler when you want it to be, and a deep sonic scripting laboratory when you need something more. The next generation of the world’s favorite sampling platform gives you new instruments and new features under the hood – so you can layer, link, stretch, and shape your sounds any way you can imagine.

ADDED Kontakt now also provides a VST3 target
REMOVED 32bit VST2 target is no longer provide

Don't Beta's generally have an expiration date?
Asking, not criticising, Please do not confuse the two. Thank you.

'Multiple outputs functionality with Kontakt VST3'

In Ableton has this functionality changed with vst3?
Most other DAW'S offer upto 32 simultaneous outs whereas Ableton has only ever offered 16.

Did you install it over Kontakt or just replaced exe, dll and vst3 files like another update?

I think it will be just in case there is Beta2

It also means it is not Alpha, which would be even more buggy. Betas have been tested for a while, but they're still not sure if it's stable enough for an official release and they want more people to test it, report bugs, and then release it. Then they find more bugs the more people use it, iron them out, and make v6.6.1 and so on. Last versions of the software in the series [Kontakt 5.8.1 for example] should always be the most stable ones.

The main difference here is they're making Kontakt VST3. First VST3 release of it.

For me, personally, it means to never use alpha, beta, or vX.0.0 software for very important projects because one could experience problems, or even crashes. I always patiently wait for at least vX.0.1 of any software before I start using it seriously, because I'm not interested in finding and dealing with bugs but making music. ;)

Thanks for letting us try the beta that finally provides VST3, bobdule and hidera! Nice surprise!

Strange thing: My Cubase 11 Pro was blacklisting the VST2 right away. Good that the VST3 seemlessly replaces the VST2 also for all existing projects in which VST2 has been used.

I just wonder why, does anyone have the same experience or even an explanation?
I had Bobdule release 6.5.2 before and was just installing this beta on top.
