Yes the new version of Ivory requres iLook
And they dont use KONTAKT they have their OWN engine
So this must be a homemade kontakt converted library

And on the link that to the post that funtime mention
(which seems to be the same lib)
Someone have posted that he couldnt use the sustain pedal and someone asked where the harmonic resonance is etc etc.
And wonder if they didnt include those "harmonic resonance samples".

Well Ivore doesnt have samples like kontakt does they have "block" of samples say Germand D they call it German D 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10 every "block" is also almost the same size in GB they differ a little but not much
Then Upright,Boesendorfer, 1-2-3-4-5-6-7 etc etc
So in order to really convert everything and programming script so you can have everything that Ivory engine includes in a Kontakt version you have a gigantic job to do.

Ivory II was made, because they realized that previous version had serious failure problems in Ivory dynamics transitions.
But the worst still remains, higher notes that have differences on release, some held a little more while others drier, just play the sequence C6, D6, E6 F6 and G6, why G6 has more release than the others, Jazz Pianists just hate it.

But the good thing here is Kontakt, we can split F6 to build G6 and G7, so we have all dry. Just erase G6, G7 notes and slide up F6 to the new position.

But, the 100 GB EastWest piano is still the best, profound, clear, dynamic samples transition perfect.

About the release... maybe you could just look inside some real piano and see that higher keys have no dampers thus the longer release... It's the nature of real piano...

Does anybody have the NKIs in Kontakt 4 format for this? I'm pretty sure K4 will tell me "this patch is for the newer version of Kontakt" if they are resaved from v5.03 of Kontakt. I would really appreciate it if somebody can send me original Kontakt v4 NKIs and other files, it's just a few MBs without samples. The other download is not active any more, otherwise I would download it myself. Cheers!
