on the website it is assumed that the samples were made by Prince, well...I don't believe it so much: it seems to me that they are taken here and there from what happened in the 90s pop / funk scene. there are also various famous samples taken from other "beat and samples" collection of that era.
In any case, the acappella of Prince - 1999 is a pleasant surprise: that only is worth the whole pack
