SUGAR provides a sweet shot of Tropical House for your digital studio

Tropical is in the House
A stark contrast to its sometimes-moody progenitor, Deep House, the Tropical House or “Trop House” sub-genre of electronic dance music is widely known to elevate your mood by conjuring images of sandy shores and sea breezes over a pulsing 4/4 beat. By fusing Beleric Beat, Dancehall and Reggae with Deep House, cutting-edge producers in the mid to late 2000s moved Tropical House into playlists, clubs and festivals worldwide. Now, Roland Cloud has distilled all of the sweetness of Tropical House into an easy-to-use yet powerful virtual instrument for your DAW, SUGAR.

SUGAR in your digital studio
Roland Cloud has captured the perfect elements and nuances found in the Tropical House sub-genre and built them on the powerful Concerto engine, providing you with a massive tool-kit for creating in this or any genre. Combining ultra-deep sampled sounds with world-class effects, SUGAR allows you to immediately create music, or sculpt the perfect instrument sound. Chain any combination of world-class effects. There are an infinite number of possibilities at your fingertips, ready for immediate use in your current tracks or as an inspiration for future hits.

Sweet Collaboration
We've once again teamed up with Ehud Kaldes from SyncBeats. Ehud is an expert producer, sound designer and multi-instrumentalist. Working in LA's top recording studios, he has collaborated with some of the music industry's biggest names. We're excited to give you a chance to taste the latest of Ehud's FLAVR additions to Roland Cloud.

Featuring Roland Cloud Concerto
Because SUGAR and the FLAVR Series are powered by the Roland Cloud Concerto engine, you can expect the following workflow and quality enhancing features:

Maximum 7 velocity layers per note
ADSR resonant filter for lush sustains and harmonic decays
Multiple instruments supported per plugin instance via separate MIDI channels
Advanced multi-threaded loading and streaming for fast and smooth workflow

Fine and coarse tuning controls, both manually or via midi control for coarse tuning
Best-in-class, chainable effects including convolution and classic reverb, distortion, stereo chorus, flange, compression, and stereo delay

On Windows you can change this in the Registry, Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Roland Cloud and the key Instrument_Dir: Changed it to point to a different place such as E:\Program Files\Roland Cloud\Instruments and move existing downloaded rvr files to the new directory and re-select the instrument/patches from Concerto in your DAW. Windows need a restart for Roland Cloud manager to pick up the changes in Registry.

Would someone be kind enough to reveal where the default library Sugar & Trapped rvr file should reside on PC please. The cloud emulator doesn't actually open so I don't know where to put the rvr files.

Any help gratefully appreciated.
