Uploaded.to is the most reliable, in my opinion wink

This is my experience from around Chicago, IL on both mediacom cable [20mbps] and a ADSL at [10mbps]

RapidGator - Only good for single file, or links with interchangeable parts. Hour wait time often bugs for me in jdownloader making 1 hour wait into 4+ at times. Ok speed for single dl though.

FileFactory - Good for single downloads. Would only download multiple parts from if desperate.

Uploaded.to - Good stuff, Links stay active rather long. However slow speeds, signing up for a free acount helps but still.

Bitshare.com - Awesome speeds, horrible limits. at best I can get 2 files a day. Great for single links

Unibytes - Only dl'd from this place once but it has me liking it. 8 gigs/27 files ran by itself without me having to ever touch it. Good speeds, no captcha's, no hourly/daily limits.

Novafile.com - No clue

NetLoad - Links down 97% of time, worst dl speed I've seen. Only slightly better than free RS dl here.

Extabit.com - I'd say 2/3rd best in the list. Links are usually active but it seems uploaders make a good deal of the files "premium only", which kinda hinders the opinion.

Thank you Saint for considering us here in the U.S. It's been getting rather difficult lately with so many "our service is not available in your area" sites.

Also if I can suggest looking into megashares / jumbofile.

Massive dl speeds. Megashares has a 500mb per download time but the speed is so fast it makes up for it [and only really applies if you downloading single links for 1gb+ files] And jumbo file is just THE beast of dl sites. I can pump down around 2.5 mbps with no account on jumbofile. Links stay active for quite a while and you can dl multiple files at once.

Just thought I'd bring it up since I look for these links first regardless of what I want to dl.

Rapidgator IMHO, is the best and most reliable. links stay longer than Ul.to and Extabit. I have all three premium accts and by far I dislike Extabit, with UL.to coming in 2nd. Have had major headaches with both. My experience has been as a premium and free user.

uploaded.to is not available in the US, so why is it on this list?

And why exactly are you leaving RS off the list?

ul.to is available in the US. I know they weren't for awhile and I can't tell you when they started again but in the past month I've dl'd from them several times.

All them links are slow!
We want mediafire or rapidshare!
Looks like we have people with multi accounts and not from the USA cause all them links are slow as shit!

Some of them I've never used, like Novafile and Unibytes, so I don't feel real comfortable voting. Of the ones I am familiar with, RapidGator and uploaded.to seem to be the best, with RapidGator generally being the faster of the two to where I'm located.

Quakeaudio
Megashares.com looks good.

--Agreed! Use them frequently on another site and they are great -- super quick and brief waits between downloads. Not sure if they have a financial arrangement that would satisfy the uploaders, but if they do I would definitely hope you would add them to your consideration as they work better than any of the ones listed, at least for U.S. location. Also Zippyshare is freaking awesome but I don't think there's any deal where they compensate uploaders so not sure if it could be workable-- great speeds with them though, and seems to be unlimited downloading.

@HappyPirate --

Who the heck you think I am speaking for? Same as anyone else here!! And yes, I agree uploaded and rapidgator are slow, but based on the ones that are listed by Saint in the poll and the ones I actually have experience with, those 2 seem to be the best available to where I'm located.

Like I also said, zippy and megashares are both great, much faster than the hosters listed in the poll (also mediafire when they don't delete the files, jumbofiles, putlocker), but at least for now those don't seem to be hosters that are being considered by Saint in his poll. It always comes down to the same difficulty -- the best free choices for hosters to the U.S. don't pay the uploaders, and then we wind up with hosters that are so slow they're tough to use.

NONE of these file services are worth a crap.

upload.to tells me "NO AVAILABLE DOWNLOAD SLOTS" until like 10pm, and then blacklists my IP for the rest of the day after ONE download - worthless

filefactory - I NEVER, and I mean N-E-V-E-R, have gotten even ONE download from this server - worthless

netload.in - 20-25kbps - slower than shit - worthless

exabit.com - 50 kpbs - ugh!

bitshare, rapidgator, unibytes - only ones to get to 100bps, but then they blacklist the IP for hours

novafile, netload - have never used them, can't say.

these are the cream of the crop right now, NOBODY else even comes close...

zippyshare.com
mediafire.com
putlocker.com
gamefront.com
glumbouploads.com
jumbofiles.com
and... rghost.net for smaller files

There is nothing "FREE" about any of the file servers in the poll list. ALL of them are EXTORTIONISTS who use hard sell tricks, load a billion adverts including popups (grrr), and then when they finish their countdown often refuse your download because there's no slots available. THEY ALL SUCK!!!

rico88,

Saint said free is free right?
Then mediafire should be a auto requirement since its the fastest!

mediafire.com
zippyshare.com
jumbofiles.com

These three should be a requirement saint,Be a man of your word and make this a fucking rule bro.I hate to have to go else where for this sites content and this is really my last plead to help this site and be a member!

Nothing beats Mediafire. No speed caps, no waiting times, no captcha, multiple downloads at the same time. You get for free what the other sites sell as a "premium" account.

In my opinion, the best selection must be done thinking in two services as complementary one each other. For me a good combination is NETLOAD+FILEFACTORY. Maybe these are not the best or the favorites, but together they give us availability, easy to pay premium accounts, good payments for uploaders, fast, stable, resumable downloads on most managers.

I love RAPIDSHARE and FILEFACTORY.

I want to share a tip. TURBOBIT is not fast in America. However, it is very easy to transfer files from turbobit (premium) to rapidshare using remote upload and rapidshare is very fast in America. Of course, the problem in this method is to use two premium accounts, but this have let me keep files before post's links become dead.

HP,
These three [MF, ZS, JF] should be a requirement saint, Be a man of your word and make this a fucking rule bro

Then contributors will just go where their own choices will be accepted (which is most everywhere else), and collect their money from there. I agree these 3 services are the best (for now...), but forcing uploaders to use them will backlash.

It'll always be about money, contributors will go where it is; and unfortunately, there will always be users that will accept this without resisting. See the following quote from above:
conejo,
Maybe [NL, FF] are not the best or the favorites, but together they give us availability, easy to pay premium accounts, good payments for uploaders, fast, stable, resumable downloads on most managers.

So, you see HP, the commerce of links is in their mentality now.
People gave in.

Children children, and yes Happy Pirate, you sound like a very unhappy child, stop the name calling, the bitching and whatever else temper-tantrum you wish to sprinkle around on this board (against our will). Happy P. You have been here all of one month, time to cool your heels, methinks. There is nothing wrong with torrents and for your information SAiNT cannot make any rule as to what upload host is used, that is entirely up to the uploader. So if I were to use pisant.net than that is where you'll get the download. Understood?

Another thing: Stop asking for bans and PLEASE be less abrasive to the other members. It is somewhat annoying to see this kind of post from a newbie:

In my opinion, all those guys that only want free downloads have to learn how to live in a free world, adapting to the rules. We can not choose a service thinking about free download lovers. If someone wants to get free releases saving A LOT to try or to steal the talent of others, at least pay for premium accounts and dont worry about how our dear uploaders and dear scene gruops live. Believe me, they are not in this adventure just for money. However, servers and delivery technology is not given by heaven.
There is a lack of gratitude from many guys.
Is sad to read so much ofensive messages from leachers.
Saint is asking, because he believes we deserve the apportunity to participate in such important decisions.
However, in my opinion that is not true for the many "members".
We need to learn to say THANK YOU! and HOW MUCH IS IT?

You'd love that, wouldn't you?

Caithleann,
There is nothing wrong with torrents

Indeed.

Thisisit,
so its more of a fake vote

Strictly speaking, a vote for the least annoying mirrors. Some are better than the others in the list, even though the better ones are absent. So not totally fake.

The first quote above shows there's clearly a will to push the premium way (at least from some). So forget about the better mirrors.
As some have already remarked, these links will show up elsewhere anyways, to increase revenues.
So any stringent rule about good servers for free users would be laughed at, and revenue-driven contributors will just move to another "billboard", since they don't strictly depend on AudioZ.

Viewed this way, AudioZ is (for some) just one convenient and well frequented public place to advertise these commercial links.

Rapidgator .... yea, it's a tad quirky ... but in the southern usa i get good dl speeds (most of the time unless there is a lot of traffic ) and can generally dl 6 + files at a time. have been using it for 4 months now, and it is generally reliable.
