Very good!

I was severely disappointed by their latest release (Third), but the first two albums are absolute classics. wink

Thanks for the FLAC!

AMAZING!

Really!! About 3 months ago Glory Box popped up on one of the MANY Chill Out compilations I am listening to. Man, did that take Me back. Since that day I have been on a full on Trip Hop BUZZ!

DLed ALL the sample libraries I could find and as much Trip Hop as I can discover. Nice to see someone else has been bitten by the bug!

Already got the FULL Discography FLAC, just hope that this UL is gonna bring others as much as it IS bringing Me.

same thing here... that was sad, to say the least. they should never released that album and die like a legend. sad

No doubt, SAiNT discovered trip-hop... lol.

EBTG has nothing to do with Trip-Hop.
real Trip-Hop (which is actually Bristol-Hop) has been one of my most beloved genres since forever.

however, this genre has died a while ago. damn

Next week : Massive Attack.

hmmm... i've already shared Massive Attack live video.. maybe i should share a few albums.

but, probably will post Recoil first. tongue

EBTG has nothing to do with trip-hop ?

Good cop, bad cop = trip-hop
Single = also
Walking Wounded = also
Walking Wounded (album) = genre : electronica, sophisti-pop, lounge, chillout, trip hop (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Walking_Wounded)

Not to mention collaborations and other work :
- Batman Forever Soundtrack – "The Hunter Gets Captured by the Game" (with Massive Attack)
- In the 1990s, she (Tracey Thorn) collaborated with Massive Attack on several projects (...) Their first project together was the song "Protection" from the album by Massive Attack of the same name. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tracey_Thorn)

BTW, Craig Armstrong is also my fav composer... and the last Portishead was a big disappointment.

I am IN SAINT!

You post the Trip Hop, I will be DLing the Trip Hop.

I am especially enamoured of the Female vocal kind. I just RESONATE with the Phat Beats, Old style samples, and the Oh So Melancholy Vocals.

If ANYONE is at all interested I will happily share some of the JUICY findings I am currently addicted to.

This Blog - http://www.amazon.com/PeRfEct-LiSt-Artist-FeMalE-VocALs/lm/1W6BFX43S2YX5 -is a GOLDMINE of ideas and Band names. Well worth a look!
And the truth shall set you free.

pilz971,

I noticed "Walking Wounded" album is on your list of "PeRfEct LiSt Of TriP Hop Artist wiTh FeMalE VocALs".
I think SAiNT must reconsider his assertion that EBTG as nothing to do with Trip-Hop...

This is really all the [P] anyone should ever hear. =)

Everything after this is confusing at best, and mostly disappointing. Wonder what happened? Maybe they stopped doing drugs or something -- that ruins a great many bands. drugs or children.

and they experiment a lot

... in all genres, including Trip-Hop... yes
Same kind of statements apply to many others. Since it's often difficult to categorize a tune (reason why we have today so many ridiculous sub-genres), it would be stupid to categorize an artist in a specific musical genre.
